Al-Azhar Educational Centre
مركز لتعليم القرآن الكريم والعلوم الشرعية واللغة العربية للأطفال في حيّ إيستلي بنيروبي، تقوم على إدارته والتدريس فيه هيئة من المعلّمات.
A centre for teaching the Qur'an, the Islamic sciences and the Arabic language to children in the Eastleigh district of Nairobi, administered and taught by a body of female teachers.

Our Programmes
تنتظم الدراسة في أربعة مسارات، ويُلحق الطالب بما يناسب سنّه ومستواه بعد تقييم يسير عند التسجيل.
Study is organised into four pathways. Each child joins the one that suits their age and level, following a short assessment at enrolment.
تحفيظ القرآن الكريم
Qur'an Memorisation
يبدأ الطالب بقصار السور ثم يمضي في الحفظ حتى يتمّ القرآن، وله في كل يوم نصيب من المراجعة وتصحيح التلاوة على معلّمته. وقد جُعل الحفظ محطات معلومة ليتبيّن لوليّ الأمر موضع ابنه منها.
A student begins with the short chapters and continues until completing the Qur'an, with a daily share of revision and correction of recitation with their teacher. Memorisation is divided into set milestones so a guardian can see exactly where their child stands.
العلوم الإسلامية الأساسية
Basic Islamic Teachings
أركان الإيمان والإسلام، والطهارة والصلاة، وسيرة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وآداب اليوم وأخلاقه. والعرض فيها قريب من أفهام الصغار، يغلب عليه القصص لا التلقين.
The pillars of faith and Islam, purification and prayer, the life of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and the manners and character of daily life. The teaching is pitched to young minds and leans on narrative rather than recitation by rote.
الشريعة المتوسطة
Intermediate Sharia
لمن جاوز المرحلة التأسيسية: مبادئ الفقه وأصوله، وفقه العبادات والمعاملات، ومدخل إلى علوم الحديث والتفسير يُهيّئ الطالب لما بعده.
For those past the foundation stage: the principles of fiqh and its roots, the fiqh of worship and transactions, and an introduction to the sciences of hadith and tafsir that prepares a student for what follows.
اللغة العربية
Arabic Language
قراءة وكتابة وإملاء ومحادثة، ثم النحو والصرف. والغاية أن يقرأ الطالب القرآن فيفهم ما يقرأ، وأن يُحسن التعبير عن نفسه بالعربية كتابةً ومشافهة.
Reading, writing, dictation and conversation, then grammar and morphology. The aim is that a student reads the Qur'an and understands what they read, and can express themselves in Arabic in writing and in speech.

لا يقتصر عمل المركز على الدرس الشرعي، إذ يتّصل بما يحتاجه الطالب في مدرسته وما تحتاجه أسرته.
The work of the centre is not confined to religious instruction. It extends to what a child needs at school and what their family needs at home.

Support Classes to Class 8
دروس على المنهج الكيني لطلاب المرحلة الابتدائية، تشمل الرياضيات والعلوم واللغة الإنجليزية واللغة الكسواحيلية والدراسات الاجتماعية، في مجموعات صغيرة تتيح متابعة كل طالب على حدة.
Classes on the Kenyan curriculum for primary pupils, covering Mathematics, Science, English, Kiswahili and Social Studies, in small groups that allow each pupil to be followed individually.
الإرشاد التربوي والأسري
Educational and Family Counselling
مجالس مشورة لأولياء الأمور فيما يعرض لهم من شأن الأبناء: التربية والسلوك والتحصيل الدراسي، وما يتّصل بذلك من أمر الأسرة، ويبقى ما يُقال في موضعه.
Sessions for guardians on matters concerning their children: upbringing, conduct and school performance, and related family matters. What is said remains where it is said.

Enrolment and Support
المقاعد في كل مستوى محدودة حرصًا على متابعة كل طالب. ولمن أراد من أهل الخير والجهات الداعمة أن يُسهم في كفالة طالب أو دعم برنامج، فباب المركز مفتوح وحسابه مبيَّن.
Places at each level are limited so that every student can be followed properly. For donors and funding bodies wishing to sponsor a student or support a programme, the door of the centre is open and its accounts are on record.
